Um dos pontos mais importantes da história do início do país EUA é o Federal Hall. Localizado no distrito financeiro de Manhattan, na cidade de Nova York, o edifício é patrimônio histórico nacional datado inicialmente de 1703 em estilo federal. Mais tarde o edifício foi renovado em estilo grego revival inspirado do Pathenon para celebrar o berço da democracia em 1842.
O Federal Hall teve seu primeiro uso como a Prefeitura de Nova York. Foi ali que a colônia se reuniu para redigir uma mensagem ao Rei George III para reivindicar o fato dos “americanos” deveriam ter os mesmo direitos que os residentes da Grã-Bretanha; dessa forma a colônia estava protestando contra a tributação local. Em 1785 o prédio passou a ser a matriz do Congresso da Confederação, o primeiro governo central do país sob os Artigos da Confederação efetivado após a Revolução Americana.
Esse prédio é de extrema importância para o país porque foi no Federal Hall que foi estabelecido o primeiro governo federal dos Estados Unidos em 1789 com o primeiro Congresso Americano, e a nomeação do primeiro Presidente dos EUA, George Washington tomou posse na sacada do prédio. Essa versão do Federal Hall acabou sendo demolida em 1812 devido a ataques de soldados britânicos que tinham a intenção de retomar a colônia.
Após algumas mudanças de cidade, a capital do país oficialmente passou a Washington em 1790. Hoje o Federal Hall é um museu com muita historia para mostrar sobre o inicio de uma nação. Nesse museu voce pode apreciar o escritório e pertences do primeiro presidente do país, uma ilustração da primeira parada de inauguração presidencial, maquetes dos vários formados do Federal Hall, entre outras curiosidades. O local também ja foi usado como a Alfândega dos EUA para o Porto de Nova York.
Em 1965 O edifício foi designado um marco da cidade pela Comissão de Preservação de Marcos da Cidade de Nova York.

One of the most important points in the history of the early USA is the Federal Hall. Located in the financial district of Manhattan, in New York City, the building is a national historic heritage dating from 1703 in federal style. The building was later renovated in a Greek revival style inspired by Pathenon to celebrate the birthplace of democracy in 1842.
Federal Hall had its first use as the New York City Hall. It was there that the colony came together to write a message to King George III to claim that "Americans" should have the same rights as residents of Britain; thus the colony was protesting against local taxation. In 1785 the building became the headquarters of the Congress of the Confederation, the country's first central government under the Articles of Confederation effective after the American Revolution.
This building is extremely important for the country because it was in the Federal Hall that the first federal government of the United States was established in 1789 with the first American Congress, and the appointment of the first President of the USA, George Washington took office on the balcony of the building. This version of Federal Hall was eventually demolished in 1812 due to attacks by British soldiers who intended to retake the colony.
After some city changes, the country's capital officially moved to Washington in 1790. Today, Federal Hall is a museum with a lot of history to show the beginning of a nation. In this museum you can appreciate the office and belongings of the first president of the country, an illustration of the first presidential inauguration parade, models of the various graduates of the Federal Hall, among other curiosities. The site has also been used as the US Customs for New York Harbor.
In 1965 the building was designated a city landmark by the New York City Landmark Conservation Commission.
