1 - Lucy: Lucy tem mais de três milhões de anos e foi descoberta em 1974 na Etiópia. É um dos esqueletos mais completos dos primeiros hominídeos já encontrados no planeta. Ela é muito importante não apenas por sua idade e completude, mas pelo fato de seus joelhos nos mostrarem que ela andava ereta.

Reconstroem em uma espécie de vitrine prensada a vaco o habit de varias especies de todo o planeta recriando ali detalhadamente o ambiente do animal com terra, árvores, arbustos, pedras e pintura do visual local.

4 - T-Rex: O T-Rex em exibição no museu esta ali por mais de um século. Foi descoberto num local chamado de Big Dry Creek, Montana, pelo paleontólogo Barnum Brown. Esse dinossauro foi descoberto no ano de 1908 e, ainda hoje, encanta os visitantes pela sua grandesa.

É aqui que milhares de turistas anualmente querem visitar e fazer aquelas fotos tradicionais com os cabos de aço de sustentação da ponte ao fundo. Na Ponte do Brooklyn você pode caminhar de uma ponta a outra (cerca de 1.8 km de extensão), com várias opções de paradas para fotos mais fantásticas da cidade. Vale muito a pena caminhar por esse ponto turístico famoso de Nova York.

2) Explorar o Central Park - o parque é cheio de pontos famosos pelos filmes de Hollywood, sendo o parque mais filmado do país. Ali, principalmente da rua 72 para baixo, em direção a 5 Ave, o turista encontra pontos como o Imagine, mosaico destacado no memorial que homenageia o John Lennon, o Strawberry Fields, você passa pelo the central park lake, a Bow Bridge seguindo para Bethesda Fountain, bem ao centro de parque. 3) Museu de Historia Natural - sendo o maior Museu de História Natural do mundo, o mais importante no estudo da vida animal, o museu aplica a história em seu uso original, ou seja estuda todos objetos naturais, animais, vegetais e minerais. Em destaque temos o subsolo com estudo dos solos e pedras, e meteoritos; além do planetário com um espetáculo sobre a expansão do universo. No 4 piso a evolução e história dos dinossauros com a atração principal o T-Rex. Nos andares intermediários temos os famosos dioramas, que são vitrines exibindo o habita de animais do mundo inteiro onde o visitante pode ter a noção bem próxima do ambiente do animal como o solo, a paisagem que ele habitava, vegetação local etc. O museu de história natural possui mais de 32 milhões de fósseis e artefatos espalhados por 42 salas de exibição.

4) Ir a pelo menos um Show Broadway - os shows da Broadway são sempre um destaque para o turista em Nova York. Espetáculos impecáveis com grande produção e que vale muito a pena ir. Caso você não entenda o inglês muito bem vale a pena escolher uma peça com vocabulário mais fácil ou também aquelas que fornecem o aparelho tradutor que te explica na sua língua o que se passará em cada ato da peça. Ao contrário do que muitos acreditam as peças da Broadway não estão na avenida Broadway e também não é um bairro, são cerca de 41 teatros que se localizam no Distrito Teatral na área da Times Square. Cada teatro possui sua peça exclusiva, sua casa fixa.

5) Chelsea Market - considerado um Food Hall com lojas variadas, restaurantes e cafeterias, escritórios e instalação de produção de televisão localizada no bairro do Chelsea, ocupa um quarteirão inteiro entre a 9 Ave e 10 Ave com fácil acesso ao famoso parque High Line. Foi inaugurado em 1992 em cima de uma complexo parcialmente abandonado de uma fabrica antiga da empresa Nabisco de biscoitos. Foi ali que vários biscoitos famosos hoje foram criados, o principal deles sendo o Oreo, adorado pelas crianças do mundo todo. Mais um Observatório em Nova York será inaugurado em Outubro 2021. Moderno, central, com uma visão incrível da cidade, o One Vanderbilt promete. Para quem já participou em um de nossos tours em 2019, viu de perto a construção desse prédio que fica ao lado da famosa Grand Central Terminal. Com o nome do famoso Cornelius H. Vanderbilt, fundador da Grand Central, esse observatório possui um ângulo diferente dos vários outros pontos de observação espalhados por Nova York.

(Em 1869, Vanderbilt dirigiu o Harlem Railroad para iniciar a construção do Grand Central Depot na 42nd Street em Manhattan; este foi concluído em 1871 e serviu como o término de suas linhas em Nova York. Ele afundou os trilhos da 4ª Avenida em um corte que mais tarde se tornou um túnel, e a 4ª Avenida se tornou a Park Avenue. A estação foi substituída pela Grand Central Terminal em 1913, para inaugurar o novo empreendimento ferroviário)

The Summit at One Vanderbilt tem uma altura de 1400 pés (427 metros); porém o observatório fica no andar 59 com 335 metros de altura (3 decks de observatório). A subida até o deck de observação tem um elevador panorâmico (O Ascent), todo de vidro, onde sua visita ao prédio começa. Assim como em outros decks na cidade de Nova York o Vanderbilt terá uma área de lanchonete. Mas, o ponto mais interessante é o chão espelhado no observatório com uma vista incrível da rua 42; deep down.

Como o One Vanderbilt está localizado bem na Grand Central Station em Midtown Manhattan, há muito para ver: a própria Grand Central Station, ao Chrysler Building, à Biblioteca Pública de Nova York no Bryant Park e Times Square, a lista é longa.

Minha primeira dica e meu preferido em Nova York, sempre vou quando tenho chance, é o restaurante Aria. Localizado no West Village é um restaurante pequeno, aconchegante e de um serviço excelente com cuidado em detalhes que te pegaram pelo paladar. Foi aberto em 2009 pelo chef Roberto Passon. Sua culinária mistura sabores, criando pratos super saborosos com bom preço. Vale muito a pena, desde da salada aos carpaccios e o meu preferido, Grilled Lamb Chops, Balsamic Vinegar, Roasted Potatoes - Costeletas de cordeiro grelhadas com vinagre balsâmico e batatas assadas com ervas.

Carmines é um restaurante familiar muito famoso entre os turistas brasileiros em Nova York. Inspirado na culinária do sul da Itália, o dono Artie Cutler quis criar uma ideia única de casa da vovó; comida de Domingo da nona. O restaurante oferece pratos no estilo banquete, porções de pratos grandes com valor excepcional, atraindo sempre uma boa clientela. Você pode pensar que com essa idéia de pratos enormes a qualidade fica inferior. Isso não acontece no Carmines, a qualidade esta lá, sempre, surpreendentemente deliciosos. Então, lembrem-se, peça um prato para duas pessoas, dois pratos para 4 pessoas, e ainda assim você corre o risco de sobrar e levar algo para casa.

Restaurante italiano mais sofisticado na região da Times Square, Patsys possui também um menu mais caro que os outros restaurantes acima. Patsys é um restaurante totalmente familiar e administrado pela mesma família que o criou em 1944. Foi fundado por Pasquale “Patsy” Scognamillo, e hoje seus descendentes ainda são os que cuidam da cozinha, com a ultima geração o chef Sal Scognamillo. O restaurante é famoso por receber celebridades desde de Sinatra (que diz a lenda, escreveu algumas de suas canções ali), a Robert De Niro, o Presidente JFK, Calvin Klein, Tom Hanks, Madonna, George Clooney, e muitos outros.

My first tip and my favorite in New York, I always go when I get the chance, is the Aria restaurant. Located in the West Village, it is a small, cozy restaurant with excellent service, with care in details that caught your taste buds. It was opened in 2009 by chef Roberto Passon. Its cuisine mixes flavors, creating super tasty dishes at a good price. It's very worth it, from salad to carpaccio and my favorite, Grilled Lamb Chops, Balsamic Vinegar, Roasted Potatoes - Grilled lamb chops with balsamic vinegar and roasted potatoes with herbs.

ARIA - WEST VILLAGE: 14 BEDFORD STREET, NEW YORK CITY

A restaurant with easy access to the hotel area of most Brazilian tourists staying in New York is the Serafina restaurant; specifically the one located at the corner of Broadway Ave and 55th Street. The restaurant offers banquet style dishes, large portions of exceptional value, always attracting a good clientele. You may think that with this idea of huge dishes, the quality is lower. That doesn't happen at Carmines, the quality is always there, surprisingly delicious. So, remember, order a plate for two people, two plates for four people, and yet you still run the risk of being left over and taking something home.
